When Ric & Sheila Shields founded the ministry of
OPEN DOORS in 1990, their primary purpose was to
"provide opportunities and encourage personal involvement in missions and global evangelism." Since then, more than 575 people have participated on 75 teams in the USA and international locations throughout the world. Among the most visited countries are Argentina, Bangladesh, Mexico and Russia.
